Rico Valenzuela: IXW fans, we are live! IXW Saturday Night, just one week removed from the Miscreant Melee and the fate of two title belts being decided! Tonight is sure to be a huge night! I'm joined here at ring side, as always, by the living legend, "Stunning" Scotty Starks!
Scotty: Thanks, Rico! It's great to be back behind the announce table here tonight for what is sure to be an action packed event!
Rico: It's great to have you back, Scotty, but I have to admit... It sure was fun watching you lace up the old boots one last time!
Scotty: The key word there was OLD, Rico. I think that performance just went to show that time may have passed me by when it comes to being in a position to make a real run at things in the ring. Either way, I was honored to take part in the Melee, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome of the pay-per-view in general. It was a fantastic show from start to finish.
Rico: It absolutely was, Scotty! Well, let's get tonight's show started off with a bang, what do you say? IXW General Manager, Alan Hinders is making his way out here as we speak! Let's head into the ring to see what the boss man has in store for us tonight!
Alan: Thank you for joining us here tonight for IXW Saturday Night! The IXW has some of the greatest fans in the world, and I want to personally thank all of you for your support! Miscreant Melee, one week ago tonight, was a huge success, and, as you all know, Michael Diaz was crowned as the innaugural IXW Midwest Champion. Live, here tonight, we will now determine his new number one contender! I spent a lot of time debating over who should be the number one contender for the Midwest title, and several names were tossed around. However, when push came to shove, I didn't have just one name in mind. In fact, I couldn't even narrow the list down to just two names! So many IXW Superstars put on fantastic performances, but four stood out in my mind. For that simple fact, we will have a fatal four way match tonight on IXW Saturday Night to determine the new number one contender! Live in this very ring, four of the top performers from the Miscreant Melee will square off, but only one will leave with a guaranteed title shot against Mike Diaz at the next pay-per-view event scheduled to take place sometime in October! The first name that made the most sense was The Mastadon. He and Diaz were the last two men standing one week ago, and at one point, it looked as though The Mastadon may have been on his way to a victory. Diaz escaped elimination at the last possible second and went on to victory, but for his fantastic effort, I had to award The Mastadon a slot in the match here tonight. Then came the hard part. Two other IXW Superstars put on an absolute clinic during the Miscreant Melee. Both Wonder Wesley and Kezzer Drix were absolutely phenomenal! They eliminated nearly half of the competition between the two of them, and at one point, they cleared the entire ring. There tremendous showings were far and away some of the most impressive on the night, so they will both be rewarded with another opportunity here tonight. Finally, an up-and-comer who has been down on his luck, really had a few shining moments during the Melee. His courage and skill, along with his exciting brand of action, have earned him the final entry into tonight's big match. Craig "The Croc" Wilson! Best of luck to all four men here tonight! May the best man win!
Rico: A fatal four-way matchup to determine the number one contender for the IXW Midwest Championship! Alan Hinders dropping a bombshell to open up the night!
Scotty: I've got to admit, I'm glad to see "The Croc" getting his due, Rico. I have to give some respect to the man that single-handedly eliminated me last Saturday night. He deserves this opportunity!
Rico: Wesley and Kezzer were spectacular as well, Scotty! They each went on a rampage during the middle of the Melee. Both men were at the top of my list, if you were to ask me who should the number one contender.
Scotty: I completely agree, but how can you not include The Mastadon? He was inches away from being the Midwest Champion, Rico! What an excellent match! I can't wait to see how it all shakes out!
Rico: Scotty, Lilianna Gutierrez is backstage with D.R. Wagner, Jr., and from the sound of things, he's got a bone to pick with another IXW Superstar! Lilianna, take it away!
Lilianna: Thank you, guys. I am here with D.R. Wagner, Jr., and I can tell you that he certainly doesn't seem happy. D.R., you tracked me down and asked for this interview... What was it that you had to say?
Wagner: Lilianna, I'm sick and tired of sitting idly by as these other clowns parade around and blow opportunity after opportunity to take home IXW gold. It's my turn to make my mark! I want to show the IXW fans what they've been missing out on, and I've got the perfect schmuck in mind to take the beating that I'm about to dish out!
Lilianna: A challenge? Mr. Wagner, who did you have in mind?
Wagner: Buck "The Phoney Pony" Highland! You better strap those boots on real tight, son... When you are ready, I will be waiting. This ain't the wild west, boy. You're gonna need more than an itchy trigger finger to shoot down this desperado! I can't wait to send you high-tailin' back to whatever neck of the woods you came from!
Lilianna: A strong challenge issued here tonight from D.R. Wagner, Jr., guys. I guess we will await a response from Buck Highland and see where things go form here!
Scotty: I'm not sure that Highland is even in the arena here tonight, Rico. He wasn't scheduled to wrestle, but I'm assuming that it won't take long to here back from "The Stallion!"
Rico: You're probably right, Scotty. We will definitely keep our eye on things to see how they develop, but as for right now, we've got a matchup between Lex Xander and Bryan Carter! This should be good! Let's head into the ring for the first action of the night!
Scotty: If that doesn't get the blood pumpin', I don't know what will, Rico. What a great match!
Rico: A big win for Lex Xander, here tonight. On the subject of big news, Lilianna is standing by in the ring with the IXW Champion, The Jester!
Lilianna: Thanks, guys. I am here with the IXW Champ, and Jester, you have to be feeling pretty good after your first successful title defense last week at Miscreant Melee as you walked away with another win over Thorbjorn Modi. What's next for you as the undisputed champion of IXW?
Jester: Thor Modi... hahahahahahaha... No longer a concern for Jester... hahahaha...
Lilianna: Do you have a challenger in mind, Jester?
Jester: My mind? Oh no, pretty lady... Jester's mind is a scary place. hahaha... Scary, definitely scary, scary indeed... hahaha...
Lilianna: If you don't have anyone in mind specifically, what are your plans moving forward as champion?
Jester: Champion, yes, champion for sure. The Jester likes being champion. I will stay champion... hahahahaha... Thank you.... hahahaha
Lilianna: Uhhh... Okay. Umm, guys, back to you...
Rico: That guy gets stranger and stranger, every time he talks!
Scotty: Strange or not, he's the undisputed champ, buddy! From the look of things, you better get used to it too. He's been on a roll as of late!
Rico: Well, up next we have Boston Strong slated to take on Wrath in singles action. Let's head into the ring!
Rico: The Croc from out of nowhere! What the heck just happened, Scotty?!
Scotty: For anyone who has been follwing Craig Wilson's struggles, this isn't the least bit of a surprise. The Croc has not been pleased with his long run of misfortunes at the hands of Boston Strong! It looks like he wanted to help even the score a little bit here tonight!
Rico: Boy, I'd say! The Croc put Strong through the wringer! He was a man on a mission tonight... a dastardly mission, but a mission none-the-less!
Scotty: Sometimes you have to do whatever it takes to buck a trend of tough losses. Apparently, The Croc has reached that point, Rico.
Rico: I'd say! ...What just a second, Scotty. I am told that Jeremy Ewing is on his way to the ring right now with some important news regarding the number one contender for the IXW Championship... I'm not sure that I like the sound of that.
Scotty: Needless to say, but it's usually bad news when he makes an appearance...
Jeremy: Yes, yes, yes... I'm starting to really warm up to all the boos. Haven't you all realized that I've already gotten your money at this point... I don't care if you like me. Go ahead, boo all you'd like.... Anyway, enough of that. Let's get to the task at hand. You all heard it earlier. In his own dim-witted ramblings, The Jester somehow managed to make a pretty valid point. There is no clear number one contender currently for the IXW Championship. Now, I could set up some sort of match to determine a contender and do this the boring, old-fashioned way... but as you all know, I don't do boring or old-fashioned. So, let me make this quick and easy for you. I know that you all need things spelled out for you in order for you to really, truly understand. Come on out...
Jeremy: Oh... I see that I'm not the only one that you morons like to boo. Hahaha! Adrian Emerich. Sir. I have a very special offer for you here tonight. I have already received a signature on this blank contract from our looney dingbat champion, The Jester. That fruit cake didn't have a clue what he was signing, but either way... I now have complete control over who he will face for his next title defense, and simply put, there was only one name atop my list of potential candidates.... YOU! A quick flick of the pen, my good man, and you are officially the new number one contender for the IXW Championship....
Emerich: That belt means absolutely nothing to me... You know that...
Jeremy: Of course, but I know what does mean something to you! You call yourself "The Franchise," right? Well what "Franchise Superstar" does compete at the highest possible level in his given organization. This is your chance to shut all of these sniveling idiots up, once and for all. It's your time to prove that you truly are "The Franchise!" Sign right here, and the spotlight is yours, son...
Emerich: I'll slap the smile right off that clown... Give me that contract!
Jeremy: Hahaha... Perfect! I'm sure you read the fine print, Adrian... So it won't come as a surprise that live here tonight, you'll get your first opportunity to make a name for yourself. You and The Jester, one on one, in the main event. Good luck...
Scotty: Adrian Emerich... Number one contender? I know exactly what the GM is thinking, Rico... I don't like this one bit!
Rico: I think I know what you're getting after, Scotty... I don't like it either. Unfortunately, there's nothing we can do about it.
Scotty: Makes me sick...
Rico: You know what will cheer you up, partner? How about a fatal four-way match to determine the new number one contender for the IXW Midwest Championship!
Scotty: ...Wait a second, what's Mike Diaz doing out here...
Rico: Mr. Diaz, can we help you?
Diaz: I've already helped myself, thanks. Shouldn't the champ have a front row seat to the match that decides his next opponent?
Rico: I guess that you could argue that fact.
Scotty: Makes sense to me... Welcome aboard, Mike.
Diaz: Rico, we can step out back and have a talk about it, if you are opposed?
Rico: ...I think we can make this work...
Diaz: Then let's get on with the show...
Diaz: Wilson, huh? Sure hope he's ready for the beating he's about to receive. Later...
Rico: Yeah, thanks for joining us, Mike...
Scotty: Rico, I have to say, I'm extremely impressed by The Croc here tonight! Boston Strong retaliates with a viscious attack just before the match starts, and Wilson still finds a way to dominate the competition and stake his claim to an upcoming title shot against Mike Diaz!
Rico: Scotty, I couldn't agree more! This win is huge for a young guy like Wilson! I can't even begin to imagine how excited he is right now!
Scotty: Well, IXW fans are excited about this next matchup! Adrian Emerich takes on The Jester in a non-title match in our main event!
Diaz: Then let's get on with the show...
Scotty: Talk about going out with a bang!
Rico: My goodness! What does this mean moving forward, Scotty?
Scotty: Couldn't tell you, Rico, but it looks like we weren't alone in our distaste for Mr. Ewing's plans!
Rico: The Jester. Adrian Emerich. The Joel Johnston. Jace Adair. Wow, what a way to close out the night!
